Arlo Pro 2 is the first wire-free camera that comes with a rechargeable battery, or stay plugged into an electric power outlet. When Arlo Pro 2 is plugged into an indoor electric power outlet, you have unlocked the advanced security camera features, like Activity Zones and optional 24*7 surveillance video recording mode.
Apply these instructions to Arlo pro 2 or to Arlo Pro cameras with the Arlo Pro base stations, and Arlo base stations. If you synchronize Arlo Pro 2 with an Arlo base station, you can still use the Arlo Pro 2 camera’s features including 2-way audio, AC power use, rechargeable batteries, and advanced motion detection.
Note: Once you have successfully done Arlo sign in, now you can easily sync your cameras.
To set up and sync Arlo Pro 2 cameras:
Press the latch and pull it back gently to open the battery compartment.
Insert the lithium-ion batteries and close the battery latch.
Bring the camera within one to three feet near the Arlo base station.
Sync the Arlo Pro 2 camera to the Arlo base station:
If you are using an Arlo base station, tap the Sync button present on the side of the Arlo base station for near about two to three seconds and then release the Sync button.
Note: If you have pressed the Sync button on the Arlo base station for a long period of time, the LED under the USB symbol start blinking amber in colour for about 10 minutes. While the USB LED is blinking with amber colour, the synchronization process has been blocked.
While using an Arlo Pro or Arlo Pro 2 base station, press the button present on the top of your Arlo base station for near about two to three seconds and then release the sync button.
Wait for the sync status to show up the green LED colour, once it shows green just try again for Arlo sign in. Tap the Sync button present on the top of the Arlo pro2 camera for about two to three seconds and then release the Sync button.
If you find any difficulty with the Arlo pro2 camera configuration or in setting up or during sign in, you can try arlo pro login for ease sign in the Arlo account.
A blue LED light on the camera starts blinking rapidly to confirm the sync process. If the LED present over the Arlo camera starts blinking in amber colour, the sync process has not been performed successfully. You must have to repeat the sync process again.
Check the Arlo pro2 camera LED present over the Arlo base station.
If the Arlo pro2 camera LED present on the base station turns into solid green, the sync process has been successfully complete. Repeat these every step for each Arlo pro2 camera.
Note: If you are unable to perform the sync process within 60 seconds, press the sync button present on the top of the Arlo base station and try again.
Fails to Setup & Sync Arlo Pro 2 Camera? Go with Troubleshooting
When you are adding and syncing a new Arlo wire-free camera, you might occasionally fail to synchronize with your base station or SmartHub. An Arlo camera not able to get detected by your system until it is successfully syncronized. Review these common remedies to troubleshoot the issue.
Correctly try to sync the base station to the Arlo pro2 camera.
Kept your camera close to the base station:
Make sure that the Arlo pro2 camera that you are trying to sync is not far than three feet from the base station during the Arlo camera login and sync process. The synchronization process will not work if the Arlo pro2 camera is quite far away from the Arlo base station when you tap and release the Sync button.
Follow these below-mentioned steps, and refer to the LED status:
With the single-LED base station, you do not need to tap a Sync button. If the LED is blinking rapidly in blue colour, your Arlo base station is syncing with the Arlo pro2 camera.
With the multi-LED base station, tap the Sync button. If the LED is blinking rapidly in blinking green, your base station is syncing with your camera and now you can perform arlo pro login.
With Arlo Ultra camera, you do not need to tap the Sync button. If the LED is blinking rapidly in blue colour, your Arlo pro2 camera has been started syncing with the Arlo base station.
If you’re using an Arlo Pro Wire-Free, Arlo Pro 2 Wire-Free, Arlo Wire-Free, or Arlo Go camera, tap the Sync button present on the top of Arlo cameras.
Repeat these all steps for every Arlo camera that you want to sync for Arlo camera login and security setup.
Check the battery condition and status.
Low batteries can resist your Arlo pro2 camera from syncing with the Arlo base station. If the battery level is low, the battery icon turns in to orange colour.
To check the camera’s battery status:
Launch the Arlo app or log in to your account via arlo.com login
Tap on the settings icon.
Your battery status appears on the Device Settings.
Check the Arlo base station status.
If you are not able to find the base station even after visiting via arlo.com login, you must add the Arlo base station to the system before you can sync any Arlo pro2 or pro cameras to it. If your base station is deactivated, you will not able to sync your Arlo cameras to it.
